Celestial Ship is a term used by people of Underdeveloped Planets to describe space ships. To people of these planets, such large objects are seen as divine in nature and usually confuse the inhabitants of the planet.
A space ship crashed onto planet Roak in 46 S.D. on the Muan Continent. The people of Roak called it the Celestial Ship and had no idea what to make of it. Ilia Silvestri claimed that the ship had a design similar to that of a Terran ship, but had some differences.
By 346 S.D. the entire ship was covered in grass and totally obscured.
The Celestial Ship is known just as Starship in most SNES fan translations.
- Main article: Celestial Ship (Star Ocean 4)
In Star Ocean: The Last Hope, the Celestial Ship is a Cardianon Spaceship crashed in Lemuris. When Edge Maverick, Reimi Saionji and Faize Sheifa Beleth arrive on the planet, they, along with Lymle Lemuri Phi, a native of the planet, identify it as the source of the Bacculus epidemic and explore it in order to find the cause.
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time
The name Elicoorians gave to the Vendeeni ships after seeing them for the first time. To the inhabitants of an underdeveloped planet like Elicoor, spaceships and other such objects must appear to be associated with the gods.
Star Ocean: The Last Hope
The name given by Lemurisians to Edge's spaceship. To such an undeveloped race, it would not be an exaggeration to say that the ship itself is like a god in their eyes.
