Crimson Shield, or Del Argosy, is a Fellpool warrior from Astral, from Roak. He is a minor antagonist in the first Star Ocean, as well as its remake, Star Ocean: First Departure.

StoryEdit

Star Ocean: Fantastic Space Odyssey/First DepartureEdit

A famous warrior of Roak, the Crimson Shield was one of the most powerful swordsmen in the planet. Unfortunately while on a mission for the king of Silvalant; he was driven insane and became corrupted when he touched the corrupt relic, the Mirror of Incarnation. This caused him to attack and killed several of his own men while critically injuring Lias and Ashlay. Shortly afterwards, he joined Asmodeus.

At some unknown time, the Crimson Shield murdered Ioshua & Erys's parents, threw Ioshua (who was half-dead) off a cliff, and sold Erys to an assassin guild after his symbologist aide brainwashed her.

Several years later, Crimson Shield is found and fought by the party at the Demon World, and after the battle; his morality is restored. He informed to the Roddick and the party; on how Asmodeus plans to launch an assault on Astral Castle before passing away.

Star Ocean: The Last HopeEdit

Though he is never seen during the story, he is mentioned by the Astral Knight who is guarding the Astral Knight Headquarters next to Liam.
