Battle[]

Haniel is fought alongside Michael at Phynal. The battle against them is considered one of the hardest in the entire game. His main attacks consist of physical attacks that dish out major damage, the Tractor Beam spell which he uses on occasion, and an energy beam attack that has a chance of petrifying the victim. In spite of all this, Michael is still the greater threat and should be taken out first. His spells are Tractor Beam, Blood Scylla, Mental Drain, Antidote and Heal.

Trivia[]

  • In the PlayStation Portable remake, Antidote was removed from his spell list very likely due to its uselessness, since the Ten Wise Men are immune to status conditions.
  • In the English translation of the PSX version, his name is changed to Vesper. This likely comes from vespers, a service of evening prayer and one of the canonical hours in Eastern Orthodox, Coptic orthodox, Roman Catholic and Eastern Catholic, Lutheran, and Anglican liturgies.
