Light Cross is a recurring Symbology spell in the Star Ocean series. It's a low-rank light-elemental symbol that summons hundreds of rays of light that penetrate all foes.

Ronyx J. Kenny and Ioshua Jerand can learn Light Cross. Ioshua doesn't join the party with the spell known and learns it at level 24, while Ronyx already knows it when he joins the party in Ionis. Both spend 10 MP to cast it.

Star Ocean: The Second Story/Second EvolutionEdit

Rena Lanford learns Light Cross at level 30, and spends 18 MP to cast it.

Spell Combining Edit

As of SD 366, symbologists on Expel had developed the ability to combine different symbols of certain elements in order to make a completely new hybrid symbol; this ability had been known on Energy Nede for quite some time. Light Cross, a light elemental symbol in Roakian, Expellian, and Nedian symbology, can be combined with several other spells to create unique symbological phenomenon.

Light Cross + Starlight Edit

This hybrid Lunar Star symbol launches a group of stars from a symbologist into the sky as explosions of light rock the battlefield. This symbol can be created fairly early on and hits all enemies. In order to successfully invoke this symbol, begin to cast either spell and immediately invoke the remaining symbol.
